The new drainage system was built a few years after our house was constructed in front of our house. Initially, we used to leave wastewater at the empty sites; after the new drainage system came, we needed to do some alteration work to connect to the new drainage system.
We need labourers for some repair work.
How do you think we get labourers on demand? That too few years after construction?
It by contacting our Contractors.
In particular, we contact building contractors for any general work. If the work requires any special task, we contact such contractors directly.
This is only possible if you have a good relationship with the contractor. And you can have a good relationship only when you promptly pay on time and every time and treat your contractors with respect.
Never think that you will not need contractors again once your construction work is over. That’s a dumb way to think.
I have seen some owners play games at the ending stage of house construction and think they don’t need contractors later. Don’t do like that.
Pay properly and try to have a good relationship with all your contractors. You don’t know when you gonna need their help.
Even today, if we call any contractors, they will promptly respond to our request without delay.
Do you think they answer your calls if you don’t treat them well during construction time?
No way.
So, treat every contractor respectfully and pay them promptly for their service.
Usually, the difference between you and contractors comes from having verbal communication for all important communications.
I learned my lesson hard and spoiled our relationship with our first house electrical contractor.
At that time, we didn’t know much about dealing with contractors. We made a mistake. But we learned a good lesson.
To avoid spoiling relations with your contractors, I highly recommend everyone strictly follow things I shared inside the House Construction Tracking System and have a written agreement with all the contractors.
If you and the contractors are on the same page, you won’t get any problems. This helps you have a good relationship even after finishing your construction work.
Who knows when you need their help.
