The last Saturday, we were doing our 2 battery Inverter maintenance work in our house.
Usually, we clean all the dust on the battery, battery cover, and inverter and put Distilled water on the battery.
Every 6 months, we do this task to maintain our inverter battery in good condition. (It’s already 6 years. It’s still running strong)
This time, our distilled water is over.
A new battery shop has opened near my home. My younger brother Avinash went on foot to bring distilled water.
This is the first time he has visited the shop.
Avi asked for 2 number of 5 litre distilled water cans. The shop guy gave and asked ₹300 price.
My brother knew how much we paid for each can in another shop.
After listing his price, he got confused and opened our regular price tracking app to see the price we were paying.
There, he noticed ₹90 per can.
To confirm this, he called me and asked about the price we were paying. I also told ₹90 per can.
After getting confirmation from all the sources, he asked the shop guy can you give it for ₹90 per can?
To which the shop owner showed the MRP of ₹300 on the can and told, No sir.
And my brother returned back home without buying it.
We needed the distilled water that day, so we took our bike and went to our regular battery shop.
We took 2 cans and asked the price. He said the price is slightly increased, so pay ₹100 per can.
I paid ₹200, took the 2 cans (5 litres), and returned immediately.
Why I’m telling this?
When buying anything during your house construction time, make sure to know some basic price range idea; otherwise, you may end up paying way more than what you are supposed to pay.
One of the best ways to know is by buying similar items in small quantities in different shops. You can easily get to know who is giving a better discount without even asking.
After knowing that, you can sit and bargain the price for bulk quantity.
