How to Track All Construction Expenses

Every user who will construct their house knows they need to keep track of the house construction expenses they spend.

Some start with the book, and others start with an Excel sheet.

Those are good options. The book is good for users who are uncomfortable with the PC or Excel sheet.

If you are comfortable using PC and Excel Sheets, I recommend using Excel sheets for various reasons.

In most cases, if you are doing house construction for the first time, you will simply open one Excel sheet and enter the data to keep all the expenses.

That’s ok…

But, before blindly doing that, plan the Excel sheet so you can easily summarise the expenses categorywise, itemwise, and vendor-wise and make it so you can view the summary as and when needed.

To achieve this, you need to enter data uniformly till the completion of your house construction.

This is a little different if you haven’t planned very well initially.

When we started our second house construction, I knew the requirements. I created a Google Form and Google Sheet to enter the expense data to maintain uniform names.

This method also has lots of disadvantages. I had already started entering the data during our house construction, and I didn’t bother to look for a new system or a way to change this.

I continued it.

When I started creating this product from my HCG All-Access Pass users, I knew what I wanted at the time of my house construction. I created this Excel sheet based on my experience.

Before creating this Google sheet, a lot of thinking was gone through it, and i made it so other users could easily track their house construction expenses.

If you are uncomfortable using a PC, Google Sheet or Excel Sheet, this is not something for you.
