Gypsum Plastering for Inside Wall

I read your blogs everyday, they are informative,

Now I was hearing about Gypsum Plastering for interiors, which does not require sand and cement plastering, Have your heard about ?

Would be nice, if you could share your knowledge about it.

This user asks how about using Gypsum Plastering for Inside instead of Cement Plastering.

I also found a few YouTube videos showing users doing Gypsum plastering for Interior walls… But I never seen anyone using Gypsum plastering in my area.

Although gypsum is an old method, users have started experimenting with interior plastering.

After doing my research, If I want to summarise my learning, it will be -

Choose Gypsum Plaster if you want a faster, smoother, and lightweight finish for interiors.

Choose Cement Plaster for better durability, strength, and moisture resistance, especially in wet areas.

Personally, I will never go with Gypsum plastering for my house. I don’t want to experiment with the house I plan to use permanently.

Ya.. If it’s like a temporary house or shed, then I could consider it. But definitely not for a permanent house.

Nothing comes close to cement plastering hardness and durability.
