Yesterday, our final cot order came after multiple follow-ups.
Only the owner and one helper got out when the delivery vehicle came.
I got a little angry when I saw that… and asked where the helpers were.
The owner replied, No one is there. All are on leave.
I asked with an upset face how will you shift 7 cots to the 3rd floor?
The owner replied, help us, sir; we will shift.
By this time, I already lost my temper for such negligence from the owner. I told them we could not help in shifting to the 3rd floor. It’s too much to help. Call your helpers to the spot. I informed.
Suddenly, the owner started saying, sir, we know this type of issue. That’s why we don’t agree to the delivery. We never agreed to deliver cots to the room.
I started responding angrily to the owner, saying - We clearly told the cot should be delivered inside the room. Both you and your dad (the cot owner’s dad) agreed. Now you are saying you have not agreed to deliver inside the room?
Owner replied. No sir. We never agreed on the cot delivery.
So, some conversation between the owner and me went on for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, My dad and brother were convincing me to let’s help in shifting the cot.
At first, I resisted helping them.
But my dad and Avi both went and started helping them shift. Later, I also joined them.
I have seen many such incidents in our first house construction where vendors changed the terms of the deal.
I’m very aware of most issues or scams commonly happening during house construction.
This time, the cot deal is finalised by my dad and Avi. I didn’t go there during the finalising time, so they made a mistake, as any new user does.
If they followed my rules, this type of issue would never happen.
If I went during deal finalisation, I definitely executed my recommended plan and suggestions, which I shared inside my House Construction Tracking System.
If my dad had followed my suggestion, the cot owner’s son couldn’t have changed the deal terms at the last moment like he did for us.
Not just that…
After all the deliveries, he started asking ₹2,000 extra for the transportation charges, which we clearly told him not to give extra at the deal discussion time itself.
He started telling me it would be a loss and all the drama… after talking to him in a good way, he left without collecting transportation charges.
If you are doing house construction for the first time, I cannot stress how important it is to follow the things I shared inside my House Construction Tracking System.
